Hairstyles for Long Hair: Hairstyles for Girls and Women

HairstylesHairstyles for long hair speak of styling long hair as loose, in buns or in braids as far as hairstyles for girls and women are concerned.

A hairstyle’s appearance is decided based on various factors, like the face cut and the body type of the subject along with aesthetic and technical capabilities of the stylist.

The stylist arranges hair with the help of various tools like combs, blow-dryers, gels, and many other products.

At times hairstyling may include adding accessories to the hair to hold it in place, and enhance its aesthetic appearance.

There is more to it…

Hairstyles for GirlsHairstyles for long hair may incorporate coloring, extensions, straightening, curling, and any other form of styling or texturing.

Brushes and combs untangle the hair, and organize them lining all the strands to lie in the same direction and removing debris like lint, dandruff, and hair threads already shed off their follicles.

There are various detangling tools available. Combs come in all shapes and sizes as do brushes. Wide tooth combs are easier for detangling.

Hair dryers blow hair to fasten hair drying. It blows heated air on to the wet hair that slightly sets its shape in the process as well. Hence hair dryers can be used as a tool to sculpt the hair to a very slight degree.

Hairstyles for Long HairMore styling tools incorporate flat, curling and crimping hair irons and hair rollers.

Hairpins are also used to keep hair in place.

Styling products incorporate shampoos, conditioners, mousse, gels, lotions, waxes, creams, clays, serums, oils, and sprays used to change the texture or/and shape of the hair, or to hold it in place in a certain style.

Avinashi Singh is an experienced and creative hairstylist as far as hairstyles for girls and women are concerned.

Avinashi Singh: Expert Makeup Artist for Bridal Makeup

Bridal MakeupA makeup artist is an artist whose colors are cosmetics and whose canvas is the human body. The events when the makeup is required comprise events of theater, television, film, fashion, magazines, parties and marriages.

Although large production houses have in-house makeup artists, a huge number of not-so-large companies utilize the services of professional freelance makeup artists for their needs. As far as the marriage industry is concerned, almost invariably the services of a freelance bridal makeup artist are required. The use of digital cameras has increased the demand for bridal makeup manifolds.

Bridal makeup is for the bride to look her best on the day of her marriage, perhaps the most important day in her life. Bridal make up is an important part of the overall costume that she wears on herself that day. What all she wears on her body are the bridal clothes, the bridal jewelry and the bridal makeup.

Bridal MakeupThe most important thing is to assess and decide as to what kind of makeup will suit the body structure and the skin tone of the bride. The makeup should never look dominantly pasted over the bride’s face in a loud manner. It should rather look like springing from within in such a radiant way as enhances the natural radiance of the bride’s special charm in her attire accentuating the positive aspects on the bride’s face.

Bridal make up should also focus at concealing the imperfections and/or any obvious marks on the face that may eclipse the bride’s beauty on the most important day in her life. The ultimate aim of the bridal makeup should be for the bride to look a piece of art and not a riot of rich colors in silk, gold and cosmetics.

Bridal MakeupBridal make should also ensure that the bride would look equally attractive in every kind of light whatever it might be on her way from her venue up to the venue of marriage.

The bridal makeup artist must be well conversant with the latest technical developments in the industry including cleansing, moisturizing, foundation, blush, eyes, and lips. It should stay for sufficiently long duration of time without getting spoiled with sweat even after hours and hours of her active participation in the events of her marriage.

Avinashi Singh has all through the years of her professional career as a makeup artist been deeply conversant with the technical advances in the bridal makeup industry till date, and has made a unique place for herself in its highest echelons. You can contact her by filling the form below:

Organic Hair Care: Dry Hair Care and Oily Hair Care Products

Hair CareOrganic hair care deals with the health and beauty aspects of hair on all parts of the body with threading, waxing, plucking, trimming, shaving, massaging, coloring, curling, straightening, and permanent removal with natural dry hair care, normal haircare and oily hair care products.

Hair care also incorporates the scalp care which has to be kept healthy so that a body of healthy hair is able to cover it densely. The scalp must be kept clean by removing dead skin cells and toxins released through the skin or by bacteria, viruses, and chemicals. The fatty acids in sebum produced by sebaceous glands in human skin protect hair and skin from turning dry through providing them oily moisture and shine although its excess may turn hair oily too.

Hair CareBrushing and washing are the two ways to clean hair through redistributing oil along its length and removing excess sweat and oil off its body. Shampoos and conditioners play an important role in keeping their pH balance right and smoothing down the cuticle layer of the hair, making it shiny, combable and smooth.

Hair coloring, hair curling and hair straightening are all chemical processes affecting hair characteristics in a temporary or a semi-permanent way.

Hair CareSplit ends take place when the protective cuticle has been stripped away from the ends of hair fibers.

Hair can be damaged by chemical exposure, heat exposure like the use of heat styling tools, and by perming and straightening.

Hair loss stems from many different reasons including but not limited to alopecia, male pattern baldness, and certain special types of cancer.

Along with genetics and general health, proper nutrition plays an important role in hair health.

The living part of hair lies under the scalp in the hair root within the hair follicle, fed with nutrients by the blood carriers.

Hair CareAlong with nutrition, any health concern from stress, trauma, medications, chronic and acute medical conditions, heavy metals in waters and food, smoking etc. can affect the hair health, its growth, and its appearance.

Avinashi has a thorough insight into all these problems and their natural treatment through herbal products of repute along with her natural haircare recipes that she prepares on her own at home.

Skin CareAyurvedic skin care follows holistic principles integrating the mind, the body, and the spirit as three different aspects of one single whole. According to Ayurveda, three basic principles are generated from five basic elements of nature, the principles being Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. They work in tandem to make and keep the total body healthy and beautiful. The three principles give rise to seven skin and hair types, namely Vata, Pitta, Kapha, Vata-Pitta, Vata-Kapha, Pitta-Kapha, and Vata-Pitta-Kapha.

Skin CareTo take care of all these different types, the natural herbs like aloe vera, almond, avocado, carrot, castor, clay, cocoa, coconut oil, cornmeal, cucumber, cutch tree, emu oil, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, grape seed oil, ground almond and wallnut shell, horse chestnut, witch hazel and honey are used in different ratios of combinations with one another.

Apart from Ayurvedic skin care, Avinashi also uses some other internationally acclaimed natural skincare procedures that have proved to be highly effective through the ages. A few of them are egg oil skincare, honey skincare, shea butter skincare, jojoba skincare and algae skincare.

Chakra Healing: Pranic Healing aka Energy Healing through Chakra Meditation

Chakra Healing: Prana Healing through Chakra MeditationChakra healing is a specific pranic healing aka energy healing that utilizes kundalini energy streamlined in its flow via spine through chakra meditation.

What is kundalini?

Kundalini is an indwelling spiritual energy that enters the living organisms through the root chakra located at perineum toward the lower end of the spine. It’s the energy that is continuously getting imbibed by the organism in order for it to be alive. In other words, kundalini is the life energy that endows organisms with life.

Under the ideal state of all the chakras being open, kundalini enters the body through the root chakra and moves upward through the spine until it reaches the crown chakra at the top of the head and leaves the body only to enter it again through the root chakra at the perineum.

In its unhindered passage through the spine, kundalini endows the body with passion, vigor, and above all, immunity against diseases. Its flow is like that of electrical energy that flows through an electrical gadget and energizes it in the process. If there enters another resistance (like a dimmer) in its path of flow through the gadget, the energy level of the gadget goes down in the sense that it is no more able to work at its maximum efficiency.

Chakra Healing: Prana Healing through Chakra MeditationSame is the case with the flow of kundalini through the spine. If it meets a sequence of resistances in its flow in the form of closed chakras, its energy of flow gets diminished (weakened) and so get the passion, the vigor, and above all, the immunity against diseases.

It’s in such a scenario that chakra healing (or in other words, pranic healing aka energy healing) is required that gets done through chakra meditation which is a 24×7 meditation done under a strict postural discipline. Once it gets successfully done and the naturally correct body posture maintained permanently 24×7, it ends up in a youthful body which is taut, flexible and agile as well as in a peaceful mind which is sharp, sane and relaxed.

Now the most basic question is why after all the chakras go closed at all!

They do so for a variety of reasons, both physical and mental (as well as cultural!).

In the very early years of life, our kids are given a strict toilet training that tends to contract their pelvic, urinary, anal and thoracic diaphragm muscles overly, and keep them so; which under continuous contraction tend to slip into habitual contraction even when such contraction is no more required in order to defer urination and/or defecation. This tends to turn quite a few complex groups of muscles in the regions of the root chakra, the sacral chakra and the solar plexus chakra rigidified and fibrous. They are no more relaxed and tend to bend the spine in the vicinity of their location in unnatural ways, thus distorting the body posture in that part of it. This unnatural bending of the spine is what is responsible for introducing resistance in the path of kundalini flow through that particular part of the spine.

Chakra Healing: Prana Healing through Chakra MeditationIt’s not only the strict toilet training that turns these muscles rigid introducing resistance in the path of kundalini flow in that area, it’s also many more cultural phenomena that do so. One of them is the undemocratic feudal structure of our family institution in society. Children are never fully relaxed psychologically in such environment and at times, that often keep repeating, are under threat of getting punished, not only at the hands of their parents but their teachers as well. This continuous threat over periods of repeating times does exactly the same to their pelvic, thoracic diaphragm, and pectoralis major; thus bending the spine in unnatural ways in the area of the root chakra, the solar plexus chakra and the throat chakra.

It’s in this scenario that, further, ambition enters in our life, when everyone in our academic and professional cultures is encouraged to be a super-achiever even at the cost of honesty, love and health. Everyone around us turns into a potential competitor for the betterment of individual self rather than a potential collaborator for the betterment of the entire society. It tends to contract pectralis minor which on continuous contraction over the period of time turns rigidified, thus closing the heart chakra and bending the spine in the area of its vicinity. As a result the path of kundalini flow in the area of heart chakra gets hindered and the vigor of life gets diminished as does the immunity against diseases too.

Chakra Healing: Prana Healing through Chakra MeditationUnder all these unnatural social and cultural pressures, our major natural instincts of curiosity and unconditional interaction with our fellow humans get a serious beating, contracting our jaw muscles (named masseter, temporalis, medial pterygoid, and lateral pterygoid) resulting in temporomandibular joint getting pulled down in our skull. With continuous contraction of these muscles the third eye chakra and the crown chakra go permanently closed. These are the most serious of all the chakra closures, and are responsible for major energy depletion through blocking kundalini flow above the spine towards the top of the head.

How to open your chakras?

We need to open all these closed body chakras again for the sake of passion, vigor and immunity against diseases with chakra healing (or in other words, pranic healing aka energy healing) through chakra meditation which is a 24×7 meditation done under a strict postural discipline.

G B SINGH has been doing chakra healing, pranic healing and energy healing through chakra healing meditation successfully for the past 9 years now. If you want to contact him for joining chakra opening sessions, you can do so by filling the form below:

Vinegar and citrus juice are great flavor enhancers, but use them in the end; vinegar on vegetables and citrus on fruits.

Pilates Exercises: Pilates for Weight Loss

PilatesJoseph Pilates created an innovative physical fitness system as early as in the earlier years of 20th century, and within 100 years today, Pilates exercises have become a major fitness system with the major emphasis on Pilates for weight loss throughout the world.

The system not only builds flexibility but also the muscle strength and endurance in the legs, arms, hips, abdomen and the back. Its philosophy is based on developing a strong core in the body that controls each single movement through aligning the spine with pelvis while doing so.

The core acts as the powerhouse and controls all the activities of the body and its movement. It raises the torso up and sets up the center of gravity at its highest and most effective position. The activation of the powerhouse core elongates the body bi-directionally to reduce weight in the upper body.

The six principles of Pilates are concentration, control, center, flow, precision, and breathing.

Pilates1. One must concentrate on one’s entire body for smooth movements in whatever one is doing at the moment. It requires an intense mental focus whenever Pilates exercises are being done.

2. Joseph called it “Contrology” and it basically meant muscle control. The more one focuses, the more one is able to control the muscle movements working to lift the body against gravity in the smoothest way.

Pilates Exercises3. The center refers to the core of the body which is also known as hara in Japanese and lies around two inches below the naval. It’s actually the central point of the muscle-group comprising abdomen, lower and upper back, hips, buttocks, and inner thighs.

4. Flow aims at the aesthetic of movement, creating smooth transitions from one movement to the other. It’s only possible when the movements of the limbs are being controlled by the core and they are not haphazard.

5. Precision is as important as flow is. In fact the two are complementary to each other. If one’s movement is precise, it is bound to be aesthetic and hence follows a certain flow of smoothness. The opposite holds good too.

6. Total inhalation and total exhalation is the key to correct breathing. Forced total exhalation automatically facilitates total inhalation without any effort required to do so. This is the pattern of breathing that requires to be maintained while making all the movements as well.

Yoga vs PilatesDuring our past 30 years of experience with Pilates exercises, we always found that Pilates for Weight Loss did real wonders as far as the speed and the permanence of losing weight was concerned. It’s not only an exercise, it’s rather a whole way of living from moment to moment in that every single movement tends to become an elegantly precise movement in aesthetic flow driven through the core aka the powerhouse of the body!
